Organization

The Cornell Fuel Cell Institute is an inter-disciplinary research center focused on developing novel materials to enable advanced fuel cell technologies. We are a thoroughly collaborative institute, bridging the departments of Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Chemistry and Chemical Biology.

We are developing materials designed to overcome the challenges that are preventing viable fuel cell products today: cost, performance and durability. Thus, our research broadly impacts the forthcoming fuel cell industry: from automobiles, to stationary applications, to portable power.
