Fuel cell technology offers a route to emission-free, and potentially carbon-free transportation. This event brings the latest GM fuel cell vehicle to Cornell's campus for a first-hand exposure experience.
Here is a PDF of the Event Poster.
From 1 PM to 4 PM on Monday, 19th October, 2009 – three fuel cell powered vehicles will be displayed, demonstrated, and opened for test rides to Cornell and Ithaca community members.
The event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Spots for about 50 people to test ride in the three vehicles will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please come early to sign up for a spot.
Along with funding from NYSTAR, CFCI is grateful to the three automobile companies who are bringing their vehicles to Ithaca for this event:
GM Chevy Fuel Cell Equinox
Toyota Fuel Cell Highlander
Mercedes A-Class Fuel Cell
The event will be held in the Baum Atrium at the south end of the Duffield Atrium.
Come see the vehicle, hear how Cornell is helping advance this technology, and learn more about when we can expect fuel cells in Ithaca!
The route for test rides will leave from the parking lot adjacent to Duffield Hall, up Route 366 and back. A map of the route courtesy of Google Maps can be found here.
